Mission: The Knowledge Building in Action
Community of Practice supports tools, training
and exchanges for the ongoing professional
development and centralized repository of
resources needed to facilitate learning and
improve student outcomes.
We connect educators with their peers - teachers with teachers, principals with principals, and technology staff with technology
staff in schools throughout the world.
Teachers, principals and technology faculty in public schools $30

KBIA membership is open to anyone with an interest in promoting
knowledge-building pedagogy in K-12 education.
Help us Grow! Knowledge Building in Action is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and
donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Funding we receive will provide
scholarships for attendance at the KBIA Summer Institute and support the event itself, as
well as bring technology and teacher training into the classroom in K-12 education.
Contributions from Investors in Education($1,000 donation),Partners($2,500 donation) and Advocates ($5,000) will support bringing different levels of
technology into an educator's classroom or after-school project, including the Knowledge Forum and videoconferencing, as well as the iPortal E-Learning System.
Contributions from Champion Donors ($10,000), Innovator Donors ($20,000) and Visionary Donors ($50,000) will support our convening events,
exchanges and programs. Grants and Contracts will support deep learning through inquiry and project-based learning in the classroom.

in the use of ICTs in their classrooms.
